Passages of Paris are arcades covered by iron-framed glass roof. Luxury passages are called gallery. These passages were made from the end of the 18th century through the middle of the 19th century. These passages were made as shopping mall and they were very lively before the department stores appeared. Then, they fell into oblivion. Since 1980s, these passages are revived by restoration with the original architectures except for some passages. These passages will give you a false feeling as if you are in the 19th century.
